CVM – Circuito Videodança Mercosul

dança em foco joined with Festival Internacional de Videodanza del Uruguay and Festival Internacional de Video-Danza de Buenos Aires from 2004 to 2007, to form Circuito Videodança Mercosul. In 2005, this partnership produced the first compilation, in DVD, of Brazilian, Argentinean and Uruguayan videodance works and became into a world-wide reference to the Latin-American production, collecting invitations to presentation in festivals and cultural centers in many parts of the world, such as Bolivia, Venezuela, Cuba, France, England, Germany, Spain, United States etc. The edition of 2007 marked the launch of the second and last video compilation, with works from the three countries members of the Circuito.

MIV – Mostra Internacional de Videodança

Actually, MIV - Mostra Internacional de Videodança (International Videodance Showcase) is currently one of the most important platforms of exhibition of the world, reuniting many aesthetic and geographic works. MIV is inaugurated in Rio de Janeiro and goes on a double movement, being consolidated as an extraordinary occasion for diffusion of the contemporary choreographic production: for many festivals and national shows, exposing an international program from North to South of the country (at the end of 2008, programs will have circulated in Belém, Maceió, Manaus, Recife, Salvador, Santa Catarina, São Paulo and Teresina); and for videodance festivals around the world – with whom the festival interchanges programs through its selection on tour, which reunites Brazilian and Latin-American works (MIV has partners in Germany, Argentine, Australia, Austria, Canada, Chile, Cuba, Spain, France, Netherlands, Mexico, Paraguay, Portugal, Serbia, Sweden, Uruguay and Turkey).

The interest in MIV is also attested by the circulation obtained in Brazil. Since 2004, in its itinerant version, followed or not by talk and debate, it has already been exhibited in several Brazilian cities: Porto Alegre (RS), Curitiba (PR), Joinville and Florianópolis (SC), São Paulo (SP), Belo Horizonte (MG), Goiânia (GO), Brasília (DF), Fortaleza, Itapipoca, Paracuru and Trairi (CE), Salvador (BA), Recife (PE), Teresina (PI), Campina Grande (PB) and Macaé (RJ). Before the end of 2008, Belém (PA) and Manaus (AM) will be included in this list.
